z-axis upgrade for AEG/Ridgid routers

Modification of AEG and Ridgid routers Z-axis for smoother and/or faster operation with a T8 lead screw.

Three 3D printed washers and bushings to align a T8 lead screw and reduce the diameter of holes in AEG/Ridgid router body.

To increase speed use something like this. T8 Lead Screw (4 starts * 2mm pitch)= 8mm Lead. This would more than double the stock Z axiz speed. * T8 Lead Screw + Copper Nut + Coupler+ Pillow Block Bearings - Amazon * 8mm to 6mm coupler * M3 - .5 x 12mm machine screws

• 3D printer
• 2.5mm drill bit
• M3 - .5 tap
• Hack saw or cut-off wheel to shorten lead screw to approximately 106mm.
• Drill press (Optional)
